World Cup history
Solo ha participado una vez en la Copa del Mundo, en 1974 como Zaire, siendo el primer país subsahariano en lograrlo. En aquella edición alcanzó la fase de grupos, perdiendo los tres partidos sin anotar goles. Ahora vuelve en 2026 como República Democrática del Congo.
