La selección de fútbol de Ecuador, conocida como “La Tricolor”, representa al país en competiciones oficiales bajo la dirección de la Federación Ecuatoriana de Fútbol. Ha mostrado un desempeño sólido en la fase de clasificación para el Mundial 2026 y es reconocida por su identidad futbolística basada en intensidad, táctica y jóvenes talentos. Actualmente ocupa una posición destacada en el ranking internacional.
World Cup history
Ecuador debutó en Copas del Mundo en 2002 (Corea–Japón) y desde entonces ha participado en varias ediciones, alcanzando los octavos de final en Alemania 2006 como mejor actuación. Ha sido consistente en clasificaciones recientes, consolidándose como un equipo competitivo en Sudamérica.
