Túnez ha disputado seis ediciones de la Copa Mundial de la FIFA (1978, 1998, 2002, 2006, 2018 y 2022), siempre quedando en fase de grupos. A nivel continental, logró el título de la Copa Africana de Naciones en 2004 y fue subcampeón en 1965 y 1996.
